Visual cues on each question to guide learning

le-img13

[two_third padding=”0px 0 0 0px”]

Students benefit from a variety of cues on Language Empires to help them identify the correct answer. Visual cues are part of understanding conversation on a daily basis. The University of Alabama cites the following:
“Clear pictures multiply the students’ level of understanding of the material presented, and they should be used to reinforce your message, clarify points, and create excitement.” University of Alabama School of Medicine, 2005
Smarty Ears has made sure that each question on all the levels of Language Empires include high quality diverse images.

Reviews:
An “empire” is defined as a group of states or peoples united and ruled by an authority—and Smarty Ears has definitely shown us that it is an authority when it comes to technology in speech therapy and it’s newest creation “Language Empires” rules in the land of apps!!

It’s hard to find a comprehensive app that targets the language concepts I need. I love Language Empires because I can take it into classrooms with me and can usually gather some good data for whatever skill that teacher happens to be working on. It’s great not having to do a lot of prep.

We found the app motivating. The students enjoyed the aspect of the video game feel and the ability to earn trophies for their correct responses.

This is an awesome app from Smarty Ears that your language kiddos will have SO much fun with! It was released in January, but they just did an update that includes some awesome features (homework and certificates among other things)!

Language Empires is an outstanding tool to help students in a wide range of ages practice language and communication. The app’s graphics and narrations are superior, and the questions make good use of context clues, inference and similar higher-level thinking skills.
