Smarty Ears Apps Are Finalists in About.com’s Readers’ Choice Awards

Articulate it! and Custom Boards are two of five finalists in the “Favorite Special-Needs App” category.

Smarty Ears was founded in 2009 by speech-language pathologist Barbara Fernandes. The company creates mobile educational apps and has quickly become a leader in convenient, affordable, easy-to-use apps for parents, speech therapists, teachers and students with speech, language and hearing disabilities. Smarty Ears currently offers over 32 iOS apps and 3 Android apps.

Articulate it! helps parents and speech therapists improve the speech of children with speech delays. The universal app has over 1,000 pictures and covers all the phonemes of English.
