Smarty Ears Releases Sentence Ninja for iPad

Smarty Ears launches Sentence Ninja, an app that helps children and adults improve their English sentence structure.

DeSoto, TX, October 5, 2013. Smarty Ears is pleased to announce its newest educational app, Sentence Ninja. Written by Rosie Simms and designed by Barbara Fernandes, both speech-language pathologists, it teaches how to build correct phrases and sentences in English.

The app is a multi-level, multiplayer game that combines the latest iPad features with today’s best understanding of how to teach English word order, from simple phrases all the way to complex sentences. With its fun ninja theme and flexible features, Sentence Ninja teaches both kids and adults to combine words into grammatically correct sentences. It was made for people learning English, children with grammatical difficulties and people recovering from a stroke.

How it works

Sentence Ninja is easy to customize and adapts to each learner’s level, with 39 levels that range from simple two-word phrases to complex sentences. It teaches and reinforces English grammar rules.

A playful ninja walks across stepping stones as players move from one level to the next. Each turn shows words on pieces of paper, and the player drags them to a line at the bottom of the screen to form a complete sentence. If the sentence is not correct, the words go back and the student can try again. At the end of a session, tapping Done opens a reports center that shows the student’s progress. Users can generate certificates and win awards as they move through the levels.
