Smarty ears at TSHA

Smarty Ears was a great hit at the 2016 TSHA Convention

The Texas Speech and Hearing Convention (TSHA) took place in San Antonio between the 20th and the 22nd of March. The 11082578_10153079440875923_2582887301307311926_nTSHA convention is the largest state level convention in the United States that provides CEU sessions to speech-language-pathologists ( SLPs). After registering the presence of Smarty Ears on Yapp Guru, we have been attending the TSHA convention since 2010, and we are so proud to have been a part of  every single TSHA convention in the last 5 years.

We still remember our first year, with balloons and hand written signs for the booth. This year, our 10×10 booth had high quality signage and displayed several of our 60

applications. This year’s greatest hit for smarty ears at TSHA was the Bilingual Articulation and Phonology Test, 11075157_10153080602355923_5080598175052222374_nthe first standardized articulation and phonology test for the iPad. This is the only test that was standardized directly on the iPad itself. Everyone came to the Smarty Ears booth wanting to take a look at the BAPA app, meeting the smarty Ears CEO Barbara Fernandes, and were amazed at the potential for assessing not only bilingual students but also monolingual English speakers.

This time we have an amazing giveaway at our booth, TSHA attendees had the opportunity to sign up for a prize of over $600 in apps for their iPads! One lucky SLP won a copy of every single Smarty Ears app for her iPad. The best news is that she was already a Smarty Ears fan! Check out the video of when we picked our winner.

Barbara Fernandes, Smarty Ears CEO also gave a presentation during this year’s convention titled ”  Efficient Caseload management across apps” You can download here: efficient caseload managment across apps

We also have already signed up for next year’s convention that will happen very close to home: Fort Worth!!!
